My trip to the National Museum

It was a humid Sunday morning when my sister and I rode a taxi and headed to the National Museum. The entrance is free on Sundays. Lucky us.

Sadly we only got to enter 1/3 buildings of the National Museum, and it wasn't the one with the Spolarium.

There I am standing in the middle of an empty room but it looked beautiful, empty that it was.

Prom Hunt

Senior year..... the bliss..... the stress.... the performance tasks...... Seniors Night?

So here's the situation, most people I know already have ideas on who to take for our Seniors Night which is "prom" for others. It's Seniors' Night for The Assumption schools. Meanwhile, this girl with the fringe that can bust a move to Call Me Maybe, cannot even get one date..... life is hard when you're not popular, life is hard when you blend in the background, life is hard because I am me.

A small girl that I am, I usually don't get noticed by boys my age because they all think I'm too 'child-looking' or too small, well I say ef that poop. Size doesn't define one's capabilities and weaknesses, it's genetics. One's beauty is subjective, to one person he/she may be ugly but to another he/she may be the most beautiful creature one has ever seen.

Prom Hunt. The premise of my post. I am currently in the middle of a dilemma whether to ask some guy I barely know or this other guy who is younger than me who I presume is gay but he's a great friend nevertheless. lol

I still have about 7 months to look for a partner, but damn, I am so lazy to pick a partner. Oh well just as long as he's not shorter than I am, we're good to go.

Essay Rant

What makes an essay excellent? Is it the vocabulary of the author? The indents and the punctuation?  Well, they all matter, not to mention the organization and the neatness of your essay. It also must be coherent, polished and worth the ink of your 70 php G-Tech pen.

In high school, people expect you to learn big words, big fascinating words that will make ordinary people's noses bleed, especially when your school is best known for its high standards in the English department. (Hello Assumption)

So here I am, pretty much ranting about the number of essays we have to write in a school year and my friends, it's more than I hundred, journalism class alone pretty much takes up 1/4 of it. Don't get me wrong, I love essays, but I just want to take a test knowing that you're not required to write 2-3 paragraphs about the lesson and how you can apply it to your life or other fields, like damn, I don't even know anymore, man.

One thing about essays though, is that it helps you expand your knowledge about generalities and widens your vocabulary by a mile. Not to mention, college.

The way you write your essay may determine whether you belong to that university you've been aspiring to attend, so to sum it all up; Essays suck, but we love them anyways.

Batangas 2014: WYA

Here I am, posting after a year of not being active on this blog, my apologies. In that span of time, a lot of things happened, I mean a lot. But the main thing I want to share with you guys is my experience at the World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific Summer Camp. It’s an annual thing, this “summer camp” and it’s a place wherein people aging from 15-30 gather to learn about the importance of one’s human dignity whether it be from society’s POV or the United Nations’.

I was lucky enough to be given this opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the Pacific region. (special mention; HEY RISDY!) I was basically stuck with these people for 5 days without cellular connection or Wireless connection whatsoever, but hey, I survived, that’s the good thing. What I’m trying to say is…. human interaction isn’t that bad after all! (and I’m the socially awkward one) I’ve met the most amazing people, the coolest facilitators and the nicest resort staff and it was all because of the summer camp.

What is World Youth Alliance you might ask? Well, it’s a non-governmental organization that promotes to human dignity of each person, despite their background, race, and or, standards of living, people ranging between 10-30 can become a member and share with other people, what it means to have this intrinsic dignity within each of us.

Now more on the camp details and my experience of it. On the first day, I was almost late, I arrived exactly at 5:30 AM, the deadliest deadline of it all. The moment we arrived at Palm Beach Resort, we were sorted into our different groups namely; Team Dignity, Team Freedom, Team Solidarity and Team Culture. Lucky for me, I already knew one of my group mates even before the camp. (Louie)  We were also grouped with the bedrooms and all, thank goodness, my AC friend Faye and well.. Hannah Tupas were my rommates, but not to mention Kat from Ateneo De Iloilo! She’s cool.

On the second day, we’ve now discussed chapter 2 and 3 of the WYA manual, it’s a really thick book with no pictures, that was how we studied, never the less, it was alright, I survived. After a long day of discussion and answer-writing, we all decided to take a dip in the pool because we deserved it and it was a great opportunity for us to get to meet the other campers. By the way, the food was alright, mediocre is the best way to describe it. (Just sharing; lol)

We watched a film on the third day! “The Boy In The Stripped Pajamas” that movie was very….. eventful, even Ate Cam, one of the most adorable person I’ve ever met, from the Ateneo De Manila University, was seated beside me after the movie, in tears because of what she felt after seeing that the boy died with the other Jews inside the concentration camp. (spoiler)  She was so cute I wanted to hug her.

Then on the fourth day…… It was the most exhausting day out of all of them combined. We had the amazing race and we were against the other groups. So me being the tiniest, but not really the weakest, I had to skip some obstacles, because I have short limbs and I’m really suck-ish when it comes to things that require the physical strength. I mean come on, look how tiny I am compared to my teammates.

On the night of the fourth day, things got pretty emotional. Most of us were crying because we were already giving each other the cheesy goodbyes. We also exchanged strings that would symbolize the different necessities in life whether it be money or happiness… even peace of mind. (I mostly got blue…. which symbolizes peace of mind; they think I’m that crazy. Guys please)  The color Sky Blue symbolizes “inspiration” but I won’t tell you, who gave it to me. Hihi.

Before I forget to mention, we also had to memorize the Cups Song, so on the fourth day, our facilitators decided to record all of us, on camera, doing the Cups song, of course, while beating to the sound of the cups. I had lots of fun, teaching them how to do it.

Finally… it was the fifth day of camp. Judgement day, or to the common knowledge of everyone from the camp, it was Accreditation Day. We had different types of tests. There was an individual oral test, and of course a group test, but for me, the individual test was much easier, probably because I was given easier questions compared to my co-campers’ .

It was a sad day for all of us because we had to say goodbye for the last time, and just to sum it up, there were lots of hugging and cheesy lines from each and every one of us because we know we’re going to have this separation anxiety within each of us the moment, we leave camp. (Up until now, we still have separation anxiety)
Thank goodness, the summer for my last year of High School was productive. I mean despite the review for the UP College Entrance test, this summer camp made everything worthwhile. I love each and everyone of my co-campers and I’m proud to call each one of them a friend and there’s Hannah of course.  (credits to Kuya Yoe and WYA Asia Pacifc for some of the cool pictures found in this post)

Let's Take This Outta Town

So judging by the headline of my post, yes, I was M.I.A. (Missing In Action) for like... a day or two. Ever since the start of our holiday, I haven't really moved much unlike my friends who traveled around the Philippines and did other booshas.

We left the city all packed up with lots of food. Mostly sandwiches. It's like a family thing, my siblings and I love eating sandwiches.

I had nothing to do inside our car so I decided to take photos for my blog. Which you are now reading. HI!!! :D

The main purpose of our trip was to visit my grandparents who are now chilling up there with God. There were lots of people I have to say and I felt like I was about to hurl, but nevertheless it was nice.

We ended up staying in a beach resort club and as you can see at the photo above... those are 3/6 of the siblings hanging out. Watching "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" since the internet couldn't reach our hotel room.

Woke up to this beautiful scenary. Ain't it pretty?

So there it is. What I did during Expired people's day.
Over and Out! Xxx

Penny For Thoughts

I love re-blogging stuff on tumblr. Tumblr is one of the awesome-est websites ever. For teenagers my age, especially fan-girls like me. I have two blogs. My fan-girl blog and my personal blog.

You could probably guess what's on my fan-girl blog dashboard; One Direction, Union J and other people. In my personal blog, my dashboard is full of pictures of girls, awesome stuff and probably things us teenagers feel in this industrialized world.

ME GUSTA!

My Curly Haired Weirdo

Since I don't have anything to do and I barely have 30 posts, I would like to formally introduce to you my hubby to be, Harold Edward Styles. Popularly known for being in One Direction. His luscious curls and deep dimple makes him stand out from the crowd. I love his green eyes, his smile, his natural pink lips.... I just love everything about him. Words can't describe my love for this dude. This is why I don't fall in love with my guy classmates in school. My standards became higher when I first gazed the 5 guys/Homos. (It's a directioner thing)

TRUE  ;)
<3

In bed, having the jungle worms

big hand, you got there.

Deep! <3
So that's it for today. Thanks for reading my fan-girl of a post.
Over and out.Xxx

From Hong Kong with love.

My three siblings went to Hong Kong just by themselves, and I was gutted since I didn't have my passport then. However, they were nice enough to buy me things.
My favourite was definitely the Minnie Mouse Accessory keeper.

My beloved Styles necklace. <3

My Believe, 1D and Noynoy ballers..

Free candies from the keeper. :>

My charm bracelet.
The story of this charm bracelet: You see back when I was aware of my awesomeness, I was pretty weird and childish. (no kidding) The red clover represents Vanna since red's her favourite colour, and she's the lucky one. The Bee represents Bea since she's a loud one and won't stop 'till we surrender (it's an inside thing) The Butterfly represents my dearest Gerone, since in Ancient mythology, it represents wisdom and everlasting knowledge. (DEEP!!) Finally, the blue star represents Pat, since her favourite color is blue and she really stands out in our Math group. You could probably guess what the K and A stands for... :>

Ako Mismo and Transformers dog tags. BFC (Before fashion-conscious)

Made it myself. :D

You may find this a bit childish, but yeah... I love this thing. Hate me 'cause you ain't me. Live while we're young! :>

Over and out! Xxx

What's in the name?

People say my name is very weird and sometimes they would mistake it with other names like "Kristi" "Kristen" even worse "Kerstie". It just annoys me that people don't know the correct spelling. The cashiers at Moonelaf have known me for several weeks now, all because of my odd name.

I got my name from Kirstie Alley, a fat actress that my parents Idolize. My siblings would often tease me that my name was taken from a fat woman, and it would just ruin my day. I would tell them to "SHUT UP" or my parents would just tell them off.

Have a good day, my lovelies! Xxx :)

Happy Anniversary, 1D

Today is pretty much one of the most important days of the year! It's 1D's second anniversary. Me, together with my fan-girl friends, and the awesome 3rd year Directioners greeted each other a Happy Birthday, whenever we would see each other.

It was really fun chatting up with other Directioners in school, because it really helped me with my social skills, which I'm pretty bad at.

Anyways, back to the ones who are really celebrating, THE BOYS!! I wonder what's going on between them right now?

To end this fan girl of a post.... here are photos!

I have thousands of photos of them... but I'd rather not share all of 'em, don't want to let DirectionATORS see them. :D

Happy Birthday, Tom Fletcher

I want to dedicate this post to one of my celebrity crushes. A very Happy Birthday, Tom Fletcher! :)
And now a video of how awesome him and his band mates are. (McFly)

Source of Awesomeness :)

Some of my 'new' friends may not know this, but Bea and I have been friends since we were in kindergarten. She and I have been friends for nearly 10 years now. We may have had our differences, but we we work things out. I may not say this often, but I'm truly lucky to have a friend as awesome as her. Just by looking at the pictures below, you may say we are wild ones, not the usual type of girl friends, we're both very sarcastic and full of wit.

We have lots of photos together, but they weren't blog-worthy. Enjoy! By the way, Beatrice Mary Agnes Sarabia Espinosa, if you are reading this, Hi I love you! Xxx :)
